Still suffering from jet lag the day started at 5am with some administration and research on what the day's adventures might be.
Finally we set out with the aim of seeing Westminster Abby/Big Ben and then heading West out to see the free museums (Victoria and Albert/Science Center/Natural History Museum). We had found the city hire bikes the day before and decided that for 2 Pounds for the day they would be a good way to see the sites as well as discovering new sites.
The ride was lovely and we made it to Westminster as our 30 minutes of free riding was drawing to a close.
We then decided to continue our journey on to the museums by subway train as the distance was longer then we had realised and the day was getting on.

The London Eye:
Our ride along the banks of the Thames lead us to the Eye and right across the river to Westminster Abby and Big Ben.
After the brief train ride we found ourselves marveling at gadgets and objects.
Right: An AM radio circuit catches Kyran's attention as he ponders the meaning of life.
The warm weather and the cloudless skies saw Englishmen exposing their pale skins by the water feature in the courtyard of the Victoria and Albert Museum.
We made it to the Victoria and Albert Museum and on to the Science Museum. By early afternoon the jet lag began to kick in again and we opted to head to the nearest Tesco for food supplies before heading home for a possible siesta.
London Bridge Open Kitchen:
After a short siesta, we were awaken by my beloved brother in law, to attend the London bridge open kitchen which was "some of London Bridge's most popular restaurants will be cooking up carefully selected tasters for a very classy take on a street food market" (www.timeout.com)
Top Left: Cuscus salad with lime and chilli
Bottom Left: Gin and Tonic one was a citrus and coriander and the other was a cucumber flavor
